According to a National Association of Realtors? Commercial Real Estate Lending Survey that was released in May 2012, industry professionals relied heavily on programs, such as the Small Business Administration?s 504 loan program, to finance transactions.
While survey respondents reported that nearly 30 percent of smaller commercial real estate properties were purchased with cash in 2011, approximately 37 percent of members who participated in the survey said they had been involved in a transaction that was supported by the SBA 504 program?
