More about a way of life than bowl making... - Family Woodworking

Wonderful video Bill. I don't think I could follow a path like his.
I wonder how many bowls he has to make a day to earn a living.

I know a guy who is a very successful doctor and businessman, has a huge shop with about 6 lathes. He would host turning demonstrations there for his turning club, and so he spent time talking with a lot of the professional turners who would get paid to come and do the demos. The conclusion he came to was that to be a successful professional turner, you have to have a wife with a good job. I don't mean in any way to disparage Robin Wood, he is obviously a skilled artisan, and it seems he has himself a nice life. I'm just sayin...

Brewers' Rodriguez arrested last month at his home

(AP) ? A prosecutor says Milwaukee Brewers reliever Francisco Rodriguez was arrested last month on a domestic violence complaint involving his girlfriend.

Waukesha County District Attorney Brad Schimel said in an email Saturday that Rodriguez has not been charged and that any possible charges would be misdemeanors.

Schimel says deputies arrested Rodriguez at his Town of Wales home early Sept. 18 after responding to a 911 call from his girlfriend, with whom he lives and has a child. He says Rodriguez was booked and released on bond.

The prosecutor says Rodriguez is accused of "physical abuse." He says he can't comment further because charges haven't been filed.

A Brewers spokesman said in an email it would be premature to comment since charges haven't been filed.

While with the New York Mets, Rodriguez pleaded guilty in 2010 to attempted assault after allegedly attacking his girlfriend's father. He was sent to anger management classes.

HBT: Kuroda to start Game 2 for Yanks

When the Yankees announced earlier today that they added Cody Eppley to their bullpen for the ALCS, the speculation was that David Phelps would start Game 2 tomorrow. That?s not the case.

According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, Hiroki Kuroda will make the start in Game 2 on three days? rest. Kuroda, who has never started a game on short rest in the majors, allowed two runs over 8 1/3 innings while throwing 105 pitches in Game 3 of the ALDS against the Orioles on Wednesday.

There?s some concern that Kuroda was tiring down the stretch, as he threw a career-high 219 2/3 innings during the regular season and stopped throwing bullpen sessions between starts, but this is a gamble the Yankees had to take. If the Yankees go up 2-0 in the series, they could possibly push CC Sabathia back to Game 4 rather than have him go on three days? rest in Game 3 on Tuesday. Kuroda is also lined up to start Game 6 or 7 on regular rest.

Phelps and Derek Lowe are both available as piggyback options if Kuroda struggles or runs out of steam early tomorrow.

Qs about Dates and Bad Faith - WORLD Law Direct Forums

Quote:

Thanks.
I need a clarification regarding surrender.
I was told that the 30 day time frame starts on the day the property is vacated.
I was told by another source that the surrender occurs when the key is surrendered and the forwarding address is given.
We surrendered the keys and gave the forwarding address on the date set by the landlord and not when we vacated .
Which one is correct in Texas?
The landlord has been communicating via email and has did not use US postal mail to send the letter. Is that an issue also?
The lease did not convert to a month to month lease since they had given us a notice in July that it was terminating on aug 31 and would not be renewed. We moved out in Aug as per the lease terms.

Normally, possession is returned the LL when the tenants actually vacate. However, since the tenants retained the keys until asked for them by the LL, they retained access to and possession of the rental unit until those keys were returned. That would make 9/4 the surrender date. That ALSO means that the LL can legally charge rent for the additional days that the tenants retained possession of the rental unit.

As for attorney fees and costs, unless the lease specifically states that the tenant can be charged those costs as a result of any dispute arising from the terms of the lease, then that is NOT something they (LLs) can automatically charge or deduct from the security deposit.

Last, but not least, with regard to the communication between LL and tenant, email is often acceptable, but not always considered effective as legal evidence. The reason that mail is preferred is because you can request signature confirmation of the delivery and receipt of those documents. There are some programs that provide a delivery and read receipt, but the courts still don't always accept them. The whole point here is that there needs to be actual documented confirmation that the communication has taken place, and delivery/read receipts provide this confirmation.

The ability of RB Lamar Miller to crack the Dolphins? two-back rotation hinges on his ability to pass block.

Pats coach Bill Belichick recently sold his Brooklyn townhouse for $2.75 million.

With Bills DE Mark Anderson out, DE Kyle Moore will get a chance to show that he can do what the team?s other defensive ends haven?t been able to do very much this year.

Jets LB Bryan Thomas sums up the team?s run defense in one word:? ?Bad.?

The Steelers released TE Weslye Saunders, who appeared in every game last year but who was suspended four games to start the 2012 season.

On Sunday, Ravens coach John Harbaugh will be going up against the guy who was offered the job before him.

The Browns will be starting a pair of rookie defensive tackles when the Bengals come to town on Sunday.

George Clooney likes to wear a Bengals T-shirt.? (Get back to us when he paints his face black and orange and dons an Adam Jones jersey for a movie premiere.)

After beating the Steelers on Thursday night, the Titans are taking the weekend off.? (Haven?t they already taken three or four weekends off this year?)

Jaguars G.M. Gene Smith has cracked the code for improving the team:? More talent.

As the prepare to face the banged-up Jets, the Colts are banged up.

Texans WR DeVier Posey says the ?vibe was down? after the Monday night game because Houston won only by six points.

Raiders coach Dennis Allen says that this week?s opponent, the Falcons, is a team that Oakland hopes to emulate.? (Roughly 25 other teams feel the same way.)

Chiefs offensive coordinator Brian Daboll acknowledged Friday that conservative play calling played a role in Sunday?s 9-6 loss to the Ravens.

Another year, another Denver defensive coordinator for Chargers QB Philip Rivers to beat once, or maybe twice.

Former Broncos S Steve Atwater talks about his election to the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame.

The Eagles are being coy regarding whether WR DeSean Jackson will return punts against the not-so-special special teams of the Lions.

The Redskins are mixing and matching four safeties until Brandon Meriweather finally makes his debut.

When the Giants line up against the 49ers on Sunday, the Giants may be surprised by what they see.

Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan says LB Anthony Spencer (strained pectoral) could miss three more weeks.

Here?s how different the Vikings would have been if they hadn?t won a throwaway game on Christmas Eve against the Redskins.

Even though his skills are declining, LB Brian Urlacher still plays a key role for the Bears.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy could make an exception to his ?no practice, no play? rule for DL B.J. Raji.

Based on his time playing at Temple, Lions LB Tahir Whitehead knows too well what Philly fans have in store for the visiting team.

Saints interim to the interim coach Aaron Kromer says the team is now heading in the right direction.

Panthers WR David Gettis will return to practice on Monday after spending the first six weeks on the PUP list.

For all the draft picks the Bucs have devoted to the defensive line, the most pleasant surprise has been DE Michael Bennett, who was claimed on waivers.

Despite their lofty status, the Falcons are 27th against the run ? and they know that needs to change.

With 48 receiving yards, Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald will join Randy Moss as the only men to generate 10,000 receiving yards before blowing out 30 candles.

Seahawks K Steven Hauschka, a Needham, Mass. native, has been hearing from plenty of hometown friends with the Pats coming to Seattle on Sunday.

It looks as if rookie CB Janoris Jenkins will continue to return punts for the Rams, with WR Danny Amendola out.

49ers coach Jim Harbaugh is having trouble getting used to running at the front of the pack.

(AP) ? Was pop star Justin Bieber's laptop actually stolen during a show in Washington state?

Bieber tweeted to his nearly 29 million followers he and his tour manager were victimized during the show Tuesday night at the Tacoma Dome. But questions were raised Friday about the authenticity of Bieber's claim.

Another Twitter user alluded to having the laptop and footage of the pop star. The account, though, linked to Bieber's new music video, which starts with text saying personal footage was stolen and uploaded "illegally."

That prompted suspicions the supposed theft was a hoax meant to hype the new music video, which was released Friday.

But Bieber's publicist Melissa Victor says the theft report is true.

"Be very clear, the laptop was indeed stolen in Tacoma. That was NOT a hoax," Victor wrote in an email to the Associated Press.

She did not immediately reply to questions about the release of the music video or whether the Twitter account claiming to have footage of the pop start was connected to publicity. The Twitter user, (at)gexwy, did not respond to a message from The Associated Press.

Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum said a report was filed online Wednesday, but he doesn't foresee police officers spending much time investigating.

"A lot of people got played," Fulghum said. "It became a big media frenzy, so I guess that was the idea."

But Fulghum did acknowledge the pop star's laptop could have been stolen.

The Tacoma News Tribune reported Friday that Tacoma officials reviewed surveillance video of the room where Bieber's property was allegedly taken, but could not make a determination there was a theft.

NEW YORK (AP) ? ABC's Martha Raddatz took a forceful approach to moderating the vice presidential debate, winning some strong reviews from instant pundits on social media but some complaints from Republicans.

The first-time moderator's performance was a clear contrast to PBS' Jim Lehrer's work in last week's debate between President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. Lehrer let the presidential candidates talk almost freely, while Raddatz sought to be more specific and keep things under control.

Twitter was alight, with some calls for her to run for vice president instead of Joe Biden and Paul Ryan.

But Fox News Channel host Sean Hannity tweeted that Raddatz "is the worst moderator."

Detox Deliciously: Apple and Cabbage Salad | Health X Pert Articles ...

Early Fall is a perfect time to give the body a clean slate, but detox mode isn?t defined by a diet of lemons and maple syrup. Candice Kumai of Top Chef fame began developing this recipe on her search for a healthier version of fat-laden coleslaw. What Kumai ended up creating was a detox and diuretic salad that stands strong on its own. Apples at the peak of their season marry with the dynamic duo of red and Savoy cabbage, combining for a fiber-filled meal that aids in digestion. The addition of fennel seeds adds to the fiber factor, plus a kick of cayenne boosts your metabolism. Keep reading for this Fall detox salad recipe.

U.S. jobless claims fall to lowest in four and a half years

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits fell sharply last week to the lowest level in more than four and a half years, according to government data on Thursday that suggested improvement in the labor market.

The news could help President Barack Obama in his tight race for re-election on November 6 against Republican challenger Mitt Romney, who says Obama has mishandled the economy.

But a second report released on Thursday hinted at weaker U.S. and global demand. The U.S. trade deficit widened in August to $44.2 billion, as U.S. goods exports fell for the fifth consecutive month and imports declined fractionally.

Initial claims for state unemployment benefits fell 30,000 to a seasonally adjusted 339,000, the Labor Department said.

It was the lowest number of new claims since February 2008, about a year before Obama took office in the midst of the global financial crisis.

"This is a positive signal for the economy. The overall trend seems to be that the labor market is improving," said Brian Kim, a currency strategist at RBS Securities in Stamford, Connecticut.

A Labor Department analyst noted that seasonal factors had predicted a very large increase in claims last week, which he said would be typical for the first week of the calendar quarter. Unadjusted claims did rise, but far less than expected, resulting in the sharp drop in the seasonally adjusted figure.

The analyst cautioned against reading too much into one week's figure, and noted that one state had reported a decline in claims last week when an increase was expected. He said no states had been estimated for the report.

Still, economists said the labor market was showing signs of getting stronger.

Zach Pandl, strategist at Columbia Management in Minneapolis, said "you do have to be cautious about possible distortions. But with that caveat, the jobless claims numbers have been modestly encouraging over the last few weeks."

The prior week's figure was revised up to show 2,000 more new jobless aid applications than previously reported.

Economists polled by Reuters had forecast claims edging up to 370,0000 last week. The four-week moving average for new claims, a better measure of labor market trends, fell 11,500 to 364,000.

U.S. stocks opened higher, while Treasury debt prices fell after the data and the dollar extended gains against the yen.

Recent data on the U.S. labor market has been encouraging.

Employers added a modest 114,000 jobs to their payrolls in September, but the unemployment rate dropped sharply to 7.8 percent, also the lowest level since Obama took office.

The claims report showed the number of people still receiving benefits under regular state programs after an initial week of aid fell to 3.27 million in the week ended September 29, the latest data available. It was the lowest since May.

DECLINING TRADE

The monthly trade gap increased to $44.2 billion, from an upwardly revised estimate of $42.5 billion in July, the Commerce Department said. Analysts were expecting an August trade gap of about $44.0 billion.

Overall U.S. exports dropped 1.0 percent as troubles in Europe continue to weigh on global growth, while imports fell 0.1 percent in a sign of faltering U.S. demand for consumer products, autos and capital goods.

"It looks like net exports will contribute negatively to GDP (gross domestic product) growth, subtracting as much as half a percentage point," said Michael Moran, chief economist at Daiwa Securities America in New York.

Exports of oil, chemicals and other industrial supplies fell to the lowest level since February 2011, helping pull down the entire goods category, despite an increase in capital goods exports to the second-highest level on record.

Services exports defied the overall trend and rose to a record $52.8 billion, due mostly to an increase in professional and business services and transportation.

Services imports also set a record, reflecting licensing fees to broadcast the Summer Olympic games in Britain.

The average price for imported oil rose slightly in August to $94.36 per barrel, helping to push the monthly oil import bill higher.

A separate Labor Department report showed that overall U.S. import prices rose 1.1 percent for the second consecutive month in September, while U.S. export prices rose 0.8 percent.

Both increases were above expectations.

Analysts surveyed before the report had expected a 0.7 percent increase in import prices and a 0.4 percent rise in export prices.

LePage pledges more tax cuts as Tax Foundation says Maine's rating

AUGUSTA, Maine ? Gov. Paul LePage says the improvement in Maine?s business tax climate as measured by the Tax Foundation is only the beginning. He will propose further tax cuts, including the elimination of the corporate income tax, to spur job growth in the state.

?We are moving in the right direction and I am pleased to see it,? he said in an interview Thursday. ?In my mind, it?s so far away from where we need to be, it?s really symbolic.?

LePage said he wants to be in the ?middle of the pack? when it comes to the overall tax burden.

The Tax Foundation released its State Business Tax Climate Index this week, moving Maine from 37th in the nation to 30th. But, LePage said, overall Maine?s tax burden is ninth highest among the states and that has to be lowered for the state to compete with what he calls the ?prosperous states.?

?I think the state of Maine should have no corporate tax at all and that the United States of America should be around 20 percent,? he said. ?Then we could compete worldwide.?

LePage said it is a global marketplace and Maine needs the federal government to adopt tax policies that encourage growth and that state changes are not enough. He said the Tax Foundation ranking next year should improve again with the further Maine tax reductions that take effect Jan. 1, 2013.

?Maine had the most sizable rank improvement this year, as a repeal of the alternative minimum tax and a change in treatment of net operating losses launched the state from 37th to 30th best overall,? the report stated.

The index compares all of the states in five areas of taxation that affect business: corporate taxes; individual income taxes; sales taxes; unemployment insurance taxes; and taxes on property, including residential and commercial property.

LePage said he made it clear when he proposed the tax changes after his election that they were only a beginning. He said he is looking at several tax cut proposals as part of the two-year budget he will submit in January, but has not decided which reductions to propose.

?[Maine Revenue Services] are giving me a whole lot of different proposals, what ifs,? he said. ?We are looking to see how they all would fit into the bigger picture.?

The bigger picture is the new zero-based budgeting process that is still under way and what savings it may yield. Another issue is the structural budget gap of $756 million the state is facing and how the governor proposes to resolve that.

The governor?s promise of further tax cut proposals and elimination of the corporate income tax brought a sharp response from Rep. Seth Berry, D-Bowdoinham, the lead Democrat on the Taxation Committee.

?The direction that the governor is taking our tax code in takes money out of the pockets of the middle class and that is my great concern and that of most Democrats,? he said Thursday.

Berry said for the state to see its economy grow, the incomes of the middle class need to increase. He said the focus of any tax reductions should be on the middle class, not corporations and the wealthy.

Rep. Gary Knight, R-Livermore Falls, the co-chairman of the Tax Committee, said the governor is on the right track to propose further tax reductions. He said the challenge will be how to pay for any of the tax reductions in a sluggish economy.

?I am hopeful in the next two years we can come out with a package that Mainers can accept,? he said. ?I am an optimist; I think we can find something that works by working across the aisle with both parties.?

Knight said that, as with the tax cut package that was passed during the current legislative session, there will have to be compromises and a realization that all the goals may not be achievable in a single legislative session.

?To really claim that I was successful as a governor is to leave this office having Maine?s taxes at 25th in the nation,? LePage said.

Japan economy shaky as island spat hits business

TOKYO (AP) ? The craggy island specks in the East China Sea aren't even an economic backwater. They have no factories, no highways, no shops, no people ? only goats. But the high-pitched row between Beijing and Tokyo over their ownership is exacting a growing toll on Japan, threatening to send its recovery from last year's disasters into reverse.

Sales of Japanese cars in China are in a free-fall. At the China Open last weekend, a representative of Sony Corp., which is a sponsor of the tennis tournament, was loudly booed at the title presentation for the women's final. Chinese tourists are cancelling trips to Japan in droves. And some analysts say Japan's economy will shrink in the last three months of the year.

The business and economic shockwaves come after Japan last month nationalized the tiny islands, called Senkaku in Japan and Diaoyu in China, which were already under Tokyo's control but are also claimed by Beijing. The move set off violent protests in China, and a widespread call to boycott Japanese goods. Toyota Motor Corp. and Honda Motor Co. dealerships were burned down in one city.

Seeing footage of Toyota cars getting smashed by angry rioters, Toyota President Akio Toyoda had looked almost tearful, confiding in reporters: "I couldn't bear to watch. It hurt as though I was getting beaten."

A report by J.P. Morgan, released Tuesday, projected Japanese auto exports to China will crash 70 percent during the October-December period. The export of auto parts will slip by 40 percent ? about the same drop estimated for exports of other consumer products, such as electronics, it said.

The aftermath of the latest phase of the sizzling territorial spat with China will cause Japan's economy, the world's third biggest, to shrink 0.8 percent in the fourth quarter, according to J.P. Morgan. It had previously forecast no growth in the quarter.

J.P. Morgan chief economist Masaaki Kanno fears the fallout could get worse in the months ahead, as the September sales numbers for Japanese automakers only account for damage that started the middle of the month.

Toyota said Tuesday that sales of new vehicles in China dropped 49 percent in September from a year earlier to 44,100 vehicles. Honda said September sales plunged 41 percent to 33,931 vehicles. China sales for Nissan Motor Co. slid 35 percent last month to 76,100 vehicles.

Even the most optimistic scenario does not foresee a recovery in Japan's economy until the second quarter of next year, Kanno said.

"What we have ahead of us is going to be terrible," he said. "It's like last year's disaster all over again."

The quake and tsunami in northeastern Japan last year hobbled the economy for months. Auto production was particularly hard hit because parts suppliers had been located in the disaster area. Flooding in Thailand that followed added to the automakers' woes. They had only bounced back toward the end of last year, after months of rebuilding.

Kanno's report said the number of Chinese tourists would decline by 70 percent while Japanese tourists to China would fall by 30 percent.

Ayumi Kunimatu, spokeswoman for Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways, said 43,000 seats had been cancelled for flights from September through the end of November ? 28,000 of them from China to Japan, and 15,000 from Japan to China. Up to now, China flights had made up a quarter of ANA's international passengers.

A person who answered at China International Travel Service in Beijing confirmed group tours to Japan had been called off. The Chinese state-run news agency Xinhua reported that more than a hundred thousand Chinese cancelled Japan trips, and the number of tour groups to Japan had plunged by 40 percent.

The tourism fallout to hot springs and ski resorts is likely to deal a serious blow to Japan's regional economies, which are already more vulnerable to such slowdowns.

China, with its growing middle class, had been one of the emerging markets that Japanese companies were counting on to boost sales amid a long stagnation in their domestic market.

Japan's trade with China reached record levels over the last 12 months, totaling more than $340 billion. China is Japan's biggest export market.

Although the immediate damage is being felt in Japan, the souring relations and the realization of the so-called "China risks" are likely to crimp investments from Japan, hurting the Chinese economy as well, in the long run. Japan not only exports to China but also has significant manufacturing investments there in areas such as autos.

The unfolding dispute between the two Asian neighbors underlines how easily historical animosities can be revived ? and so emotionally ? no matter how closely intertwined the economies have grown. Enmity between the two nations started with Japan's military victory against China's dying Qing empire in 1895 and then exploded as Japan invaded swathes of China in the 1930s and 1940s and enforced a brutal occupation. China's communist government has nurtured anti-Japanese sentiment in successive generations through its control of education and the media.

Carl Weinberg, chief economist at High Frequency Economics, based in Valhalla, New York, said the territorial dispute is not going to set off a shootout.

"However, economic conflict has already begun. This can and will cost the woebegone Japanese economy dearly in the form of exports," Weinberg wrote in his weekly report, estimating that the loss of 40,000 vehicles for Toyota is worth about half a billion dollars.

Increasingly, Japanese have been looking to other nations such as Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia as destinations for investment, and a hostile China could speed up that trend.

Japanese supermarket chain Aeon Co. said damage at one of its stores had totaled 700 million yen ($8.8 million) as looters smashed windows, broke in and ran amok, toppling shelves and kicking merchandise. That doesn't account for the loss of sales from the store's closure or boycotting consumers.

But spokesman Toshiyuki Mukohara was calm, noting the company remained committed to China, and its 34 other outlets were doing business as usual.

"We are dealing with regular Chinese people," he said.

Although the flare-ups have calmed in recent weeks, it would still require courage to be seen in a Japanese car in some Chinese cities.

Japanese automakers temporarily closed some of their China factories. Production is back up this week but reduced to lower levels as demand has collapsed.

Toyota, which makes the Prius hybrid, Camry sedan and Lexus luxury models, had planned to sell 1 million vehicles in China this calendar year.

"But that may be very difficult to achieve," company spokesman Dion Corbett said.

Screen Grabs chronicles the uses (and misuses) of real-world gadgets in today's movies and TV. Send in your sightings (with screen grab!) to screengrabs at engadget dot com.

Screen Grabs Elementary pilot episode has Sherlock Holmes swiping through murder victim's Lumia 800

Whether you're a fan of CBS's Elementary spin on Sherlock Holmes or not, it sure gave a nice amount screen-time to cellphones in its pilot. While there was prominent use of iPhones in the episode, we're highlighting a seemingly forced Nokia Lumia 800 cameo -- you'd think it would at least be the 900 being an American series. The camera takes a tight shot of Sherlock swiping through photos on a murder victim's black Lumia twice, highlighting the Nokia logo and Windows Phone 7.5 gallery interface. Here's your clue to see it for yourself: check around the 8-minute mark at the source link below.

Exercise improves memory, thinking after stroke, study finds

ScienceDaily (Oct. 1, 2012) ? Just six months of exercise can improve memory, language, thinking and judgment problems by almost 50 per cent, says a study presented October 1 at the Canadian Stroke Congress.

Toronto researchers found that the proportion of stroke patients with at least mild cognitive impairment dropped from 66 per cent to 37 per cent during a research study on the impact of exercise on the brain.

"People who have cognitive deficits after stroke have a threefold risk of mortality, and they're more likely to be institutionalized," says lead researcher Susan Marzolini of the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. "If we can improve cognition through exercise, which also has many physical benefits, then this should become a standard of care for people following stroke."

Forty-one patients, of whom 70 per cent had mild to moderate walking problems requiring a cane or walker, followed an adapted aerobic and strength/resistance training program five days a week. Exercises designed to imitate daily life included walking, lifting weights and doing squats.

The research team found "significant improvements" in overall brain function at the conclusion of the program, with the most improvement in attention, concentration, planning and organizing. Muscular strength and walking ability also increased.

The study did not use a control group of people who didn't exercise. However, Ms. Marzolini says, "these results provide compelling evidence that by improving cardiovascular fitness through aerobic exercise and increasing muscle mass with resistance training, people with stroke can improve brain health."

Ms. Marzolini emphasizes the need to give people with stroke-related impairments access to exercise programs. "Modified exercise programs are desperately needed -- they can be adapted for people following stroke, and we think they can provide huge health benefits."

"Healthy living is important for reducing your risk for stroke, recovering from stroke and preventing another," says Ian Joiner, director of stroke for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. "All of us should manage our risk factors for stroke and, when needed, have access to information and counseling about strategies to modify our lifestyle choices."

"These healthy lifestyle studies emphasize how important it is to exercise and stay active after stroke," says Dr. Mark Bayley, Co-Chair of the Canadian Stroke Congress and Medical Director of the Neurological Rehabilitation Program at Toronto Rehab. "By doing so, we can increase our chances of a better outcome after stroke."

The Canadian Stroke Congress is co-hosted by the Canadian Stroke Network, the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Stroke Consortium.
